The Arab Publishers Association makes its studies available on the Samawi platform
Mr. Mohamed Rashad, President of the Arab Publishers Association, and Mr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab, Executive Director of the Samawi platform, met on Monday, July 14, 2025, to sign the launch of a strategic partnership between the Association and the platform.
Through this partnership, the Association will make studies and reports published both in print and electronically available on the platform, which include the following:
- Study of publishing in the Arab world (2015-2029).
- Study of publishing in the Arab world during the COVID-19 pandemic and its repercussions (2020-2021).
- Study of reading in the Arab world: trends and tendencies.
- Study of the professional publisher: fundamental approaches to the publishing industry.
Mr. Mohamed Rashad, the President of the Association, confirmed that the partnership aims to enhance access to knowledge and specialized studies in the field of publishing, and to support researchers and those interested in the publishing industry by providing reliable sources and valuable information, as well as enhancing the role of the Arab Publishers Association as a key reference in the field of Arab publishing.
The President noted that the partnership comes as part of the Arab Publishers Association's efforts to advance the publishing industry in the Arab world through a number of specialized studies, and to emphasize the importance of cooperation between cultural institutions and leading companies in the field of digital publishing, which will contribute to expanding access to cultural, scientific, and creative content, and encourage innovation and creativity in the Arab region.
Rashad expressed his hopes that this partnership will be beneficial to all parties involved and looks forward to fruitful and sustainable cooperation with the Samawi platform.
